APPLICATION FOR CORRECTION OF PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENT: NASSAU COUNTY
Our Service: By signing this agreement, you are directing Elite Property Tax Consultants (“Elite”) to prepare and file your First Level Complaint for review by the Assessment Review Commission, to represent you at any proceeding which includes the preparation and filing of the Petitions, the preparation and presentation of a Market Analysis and to physically appear on your behalf at settlement conferences and court hearings as necessary. Elite will prepare and file forms required by any municipality for issuance of a possible refund check, minus any fees due, and forward the balance to you within 30 days from our receipt. Note that you are not required by law to use a tax reduction service to file for and/or receive a tax assessment reduction.
Fee for Service: There is no fee if your property taxes are not reduced. If your property taxes are reduced, you agree to pay a fee equal to 40% of the Tax Reductions if paid within 30 days of being issued an invoice and to pay such fee in the event you sell or vacate the subject property.
Notification of Tax Reduction: Elite will communicate the terms of settlement offer made by Nassau County in the course of the tax assessment review proceeding as required by law. By signing you fully authorize Elite to negotiate a settlement for you.
Eligibility: A person named in the records of the Nassau County Clerk as a homeowner, that person’s authorized agent, a person under contract to buy a home, or the estate of a deceased homeowner is eligible to receive a tax assessment reduction. The property must be a one, two, or three family home used exclusively for residential purposes. If you meet these requirements, you may sign this agreement.
Cancellation: At any time within three (3) days of entering into this contract, you have the right to cancel this agreement by written request to Elite Property Tax Consultants.
